July in Montour Falls is the season of barefoot mornings, wild blueberry picking, and golden-hour glow. Fireflies flicker like fairy lights along the trails, and the waterfalls, fueled by summer rain, tumble like laughter through the gorge.

At Montour Falls Tea Company, this is when the tea turns playful. July is for fruit-drenched brews, creamy matcha swirls, and the kind of cool sips that chase away the sun’s warmth. Our La-Tea blends capture the essence of a summer's day in the Finger Lakes—sweet, spirited, and utterly unforgettable.

Featured July La-Tea Menu

Blueberry Pie Brown Sugar Boba

Inspired by the beloved Canandaigua Blueberry Pie tea, this decadent boba drink layers rich black tea with notes of blueberry, brown sugar syrup, and creamy oat milk.

Mocktail: Blueberry Pie Boba Latte

  • 1 cup brewed Canandaigua Blueberry Pie tea (chilled)

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar syrup

  • ½ cup oat milk

  • Boba pearls (cooked)

  • Crushed graham cracker for rim (optional)

Layer boba in the glass, then pour in tea, syrup, and milk. Top with crushed graham cracker for a pie-in-a-cup experience.

Raspberry Matcha Refresher

Bold ceremonial matcha meets tart raspberry for a fruity twist on the classic green tea pick-me-up. Cool, refreshing, and energizing.

Mocktail: Raspberry Green Glow

  • 1 teaspoon ceremonial matcha

  • ½ cup raspberry purée or juice

  • ¾ cup cold water or sparkling water

  • Ice and fresh raspberries

Whisk matcha with water, then layer over raspberry juice in a tall glass of ice. Garnish with raspberries or mint.

Lemon Ginger Fizz

A zesty cooler with wellness in mind. This blend is crafted with bright lemon, spicy ginger, and a splash of sparkling water for a refreshing tonic.

Mocktail: Summer Spice Sparkler

  • 1 cup brewed Lemon Ginger tea (chilled)

  • ½ cup sparkling mineral water

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • Lemon slice and ginger sliver

A little bit spa, a little bit lemonade stand. Perfect for sipping on the porch or after a sun-soaked hike.

Peach Lemonade

A glowing fusion of New York Sweet Peach tea, matcha, and fresh lemonade. Juicy, citrusy, and sunshine-sweet.

Mocktail: Orchard Glow-Up

  • 1 cup brewed Sweet Peach tea (chilled)

  • ¼ teaspoon matcha (optional for green tint)

  • ½ cup lemonade

  • Peach slice and mint for garnish

This is the ultimate lakeside refresher—light, energizing, and best served with a view of the water.

Tea Lore: The Colonial Ice Craze

By the 19th century, iced tea had become a staple of American summers. It gained major popularity at the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair when a tea vendor, trying to attract hot fairgoers, poured his brew over ice—and the rest is refreshment history. Today, we carry on that spirit with every chilled La-Tea sip.

Finger Lakes Spotlight: Canandaigua's Sweet Legacy

Canandaigua, meaning “the chosen spot,” is not just a lake—it’s a place of heritage and hospitality. Its surrounding farms are known for blueberries, peaches, and fresh summer produce that inspire many of our La-Tea blends. If you visit in July, don’t miss the local farmers markets, where you can taste the fruits that sweeten your sips.

July is a perfect time to walk the Montour Falls trail, where the gorge walls bloom with moss and the air hums with life. Locals say the falls sing louder in midsummer—echoing through the valley as if celebrating the season’s peak.

Let each La-Tea blend this month be your portable version of that joy.

Plan Your Summer Sip Stop

Whether you're day-tripping through the Finger Lakes or wandering down Main Street, stop by Montour Falls Tea Company to sample this month’s La-Tea creations. Try them iced, shaken, or blended—however you like to taste your summer.

August brings peachy breezes, lavender fields, and a whole new chapter of sippable stories. Stay steeped.
